Dumbbell Nebula     M27

  M27 is the remnants of a red giant star that has expelled its gas and will constantly expand , commonly known as a planetary nebula. The star that released the matter is in the center and is located in Vulpecula (The Fox) 1250 light years away. Backyard image with 12" LX200 GPS @ f6.3 / ST8E / CFW8. Lum. 20 min. , red 30 min , Green 30 min  and blue 50 min. unbinned on 8/2702
